"All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them."
After graduating from the University of Houston, Carol earned her Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design. Meanwhile, she studied exclusively in Photography and Art History. Then while gaining many years of interior decorating experience she attained a Bachelors Degree in Interior Design. Here she studied under several influential designers from Houston. Carol is highly trained in classic design principles by using balance, simplicity, textures, and the use of colors in a harmonious exemplar style.
“The professors that mentored me taught that the smallest of details are of the most importance and that all clients deserve this immense level of attention. Thus, I take these teachings to heart and within my soul to every project.”
Carol’s love of design and attention to detail has developed a reputation for creating refined and well planned interiors. These spaces represent a broad range of styles that are developed to fit her clients lifestyle and vision.
When I was a small child, my dad gave me my first camera. I think I took more photos of my cat (Smudgy) than anything else. At that time, I did not understand why I loved taking photos. I now realize that Photography is not only an emotional aspect for me, but it helps me to be more creative and develop an eye for detail. Focusing on details is an important part of design. I use this skill every day not only in my work, but in life. It keeps me mindful of the beauty that is around us..
Painting is a wonderful way for me to express my feelings and emotions. I have always enjoyed that moment of creative freedom. If you have ever experienced that emotional high , then you would understand the complete joy and excitement of your work. It doesn't matter at that moment what others think about you. You live in the moment. Expression is non- judgmental in the eyes of the beholder. I never want to lose that feeling!
Cats, dogs, horses, and bunnies! I love them all. Not only are they comforting, they love you unconditionally! I always love to meet my clients fur babies on my jobs.
Animals make you laugh when life is tough.
